Invisalign and ClearCorrect: The Discreet Way To Straighten Your Teeth

If you are self-conscious about your smile in Bolingbrook or Naperville due to misaligned teeth or bite problems, but you’d like to avoid wearing traditional braces, clear aligners from Innova Family Dental may be the best option for you. At our office, Dr. Kalpana Kandimalla offers both Invisalign and ClearCorrect clear aligners. Learn more below, or contact us now for an orthodontic consultation.

The Basics Of Invisalign & ClearCorrect

Invisalign and ClearCorrect may be different brands, but their products use the same basic method of straightening your teeth. Your aligners are built out of strong, clear plastic and look similar to a retainer, or a night guard used for teeth grinding.

Each set of aligners is built to shift your teeth slightly toward the proper position. Over time, you’ll switch through multiple sets of aligners. Gradually, your teeth will align and become straighter, all without having to wear bulky, unsightly braces.

What Can I Expect From The Clear Aligner Process?

You’ll begin with an orthodontic consultation at Innova Family Dental. Dr. Kalpana Kandimalla will examine your mouth, take x-rays, and determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign or ClearCorrect. If you’re approved, she will take images and impressions of your teeth, and work with Invisalign or ClearCorrect to develop your aligner treatment plan.

Your first sets of aligners will usually arrive at our office in a few weeks. You’ll come in and pick them up, and get instructions on wearing them from Dr. Kandimalla. Each set is to be worn for 20-22 hours per day, for a period of about 2 weeks.

Every 4-6 weeks, you will need to come into Innova Family Dental for a consultation so that Dr. Kandimalla can track your progress, and give you your next several sets of clear aligners. You’ll repeat this process until your treatment is complete. Most patients need between 20-24 sets of aligners, so it usually takes less than a year to correct your smile.

Why Choose Invisalign Or ClearCorrect?

Compared to other methods of orthodontic correction, such as traditional braces, clear aligners have a number of great benefits. First, they are more subtle, since they are completely invisible when worn and do not affect speech. Nobody has to know that you’re getting Invisalign or ClearCorrect unless you want them to know.

Clear aligners are also removable, so there are no limits on what you can eat during treatment. This also means it’s easier to brush and floss your teeth, so you can maintain good oral hygiene while straightening your teeth.

In addition, clear aligners are more comfortable compared to braces. There are no metal components that can poke your mouth, and they exert gentle pressure that shifts your teeth gradually.

For all of these reasons and quite a few more, clear aligners are a great option if you’re an eligible candidate for this method of orthodontic correction. Find out if you qualify by contacting Innova Family Dental at (630) 518-2272.
