During a root canal, Dr. Kandimalla will access the nerve canal in the middle of your tooth to remove the deteriorating nerve tissues inside of it. Then any residual bacteria is cleaned out. The source of the tooth pain is eradicated once all of the tissues and bacteria have been removed. Once the open chamber is completely decontaminated, we'll fill and seal the nerve canal to avoid reinfection.

Recovering From a Root Canal

Teeth that have been treated with endodontic therapy are prone to wear, as they are more brittle. You run the danger of your enamel chipping away or wearing down prematurely. To prevent either scenario, we'll place a crown on top of your tooth after the root canal procedure. As long as you care for it properly, your restored tooth can last for several more years.
